Gold Coast Titans All Schools (GCTAS) is an annual touch football event run by Queensland Touch Football. From 2021-2023 the event will be held at the world class Gold Coast Performance Centre at Runaway Bay, Queensland, thanks to the support of Experience Gold Coast.
Held in October, it is the world’s largest touch football tournament, with 580 teams representing various schools both nationally and internationally.
It is a seeded round robin-based competition where teams are placed in Pools of 6-8 teams depending on the size of the division, which provides school teams with a minimum of 7 games.
Across the 5-day tournament, over 8,000 students will take to the field playing over 1,850 games across 30 fields, attracting between 6,000 and 10,000 spectators.
The first ever Queensland All Schools was run in 1983 at Balmoral High School. There were 18 teams in total and St Edmund’s College won the Open boys division while Ipswich SHS won the Open girls division. Since that time, the event has grown to accommodate over 450 teams and 6,000 secondary school students from all over Queensland, interstate and internationally.
